Ashley Ilboudo, Oaks Mentor
Meet your Mentor and Teacher
A New York native, Ashley Ilboudo started her professional career in the film industry, working on television and film sets in New York City. Ashley holds a BA in Communications. Her love of the craft led her to a job at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where she worked on Martha Stewart’s cooking show and lifestyle magazine. Ashley ventured into the world of education, as the Education Coordinator for a non-profit arts organization, where she developed and managed the arts education program and taught elementary, middle and high school students’ arts education. Ashley Ilboudo moved to Texas with her husband and daughter four years ago. She took an unexpected career turn, working as a Manufacturing Lead and Supervisor, leading and training a team of 29. An admirer of homeschool, Ashley knew long before she had her first child that she would one day homeschool. At this phase of her life and career, Ashley is dedicating her life and time to her two daughters, being their first introduction to faith and a beautiful education. Ashley is so excited to be teaching at Arbor Academy and helping her students blossom into their own.

“We cannot measure the influence that one or another artist has upon the child’s sense of beauty, upon his power of seeing, as in a picture, the common sights of life; he is enriched more than we know in having really looked at even a single picture.“
